Klughaus is a contemporary art gallery based in New York City representing a diverse roster of talented artists with roots in graffiti and street culture. Our artists range from some of the world�s top graffiti artists who are emerging in the world of fine art, to established painters and photographers focusing on contemporary subject matter. Klughaus curates quarterly exhibits for its artists in various event spaces throughout the downtown area. A select sampling of past and present Klughaus artists includes: JURNE, Seb GOREY, RIME, Aaron OBLVN, Martha Cooper, Jesse Edwards, Tom Gould, and Ricky Powell.
History
When it was founded as a brick and mortar art gallery space in the Lower East Side in December of 2011, Klughaus immediately leapt into the downtown art community, launching dozens of exhibits, interactive installations, pop-up shops, and a range of other events in an effort to foster creativity and urban art appreciation in the downtown community. The street art website Vandalog labeled Klughaus, �One of the coolest spots in Manhattan's Lower East Side...� and the gallery was also featured as one of the �Top 10 Most Important Graffiti Moments of 2012� by Complex.com.
Events in both our original space in the LES and other cities around the US�most recently a mobile exhibit showcased at Art Basel Miami�have come to attract hundreds to thousands of attendees per opening and event. Dovetailing off the success of our original incarnation, Klughaus has quickly evolved and is now positioned to become one of the leading agencies to represent graffiti and street artists in New York City. In addition to representing our clients� professional and artistic interests, we are committed to protecting the identity and anonymity of all of the artists with whom we work.
Aerosol Art Agency
In conjunction with talent representation, Klughaus operates a commission-based aerosol art division boasting an extensive portfolio of in-demand graffiti artists for hire. Klughaus aerosol artists have completed impressive campaigns for a dynamic range of notable clients including DirecTV, Google, Rebecca Minkoff, DKNY, Metro, Facebook, and more.
