DKNY Spring 2014

Klughaus has had great success partnering with female designers and brands and DKNY is one of our favorite fashion collaborators. We’ve worked with the iconic downtown brand on multiple projects here in NYC as well as other cities. Most recently, DKNY enlisted Klughaus artists to help create the visual identity for the designer’s 2014 Spring/Summer runway show in Chelsea, ad campaign in Times Square, and 25th anniversary party in a warehouse on Wall Street.

To capture the brand’s downtown roots, Klughaus painted massive three-dimensional ‘DKNY’ letters with bright graffiti and bold colors. The installation was used as the catwalk centerpiece for DKNY’s S/S14 runway show during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week at Bryant Park as well as a private party celebrating the fashion house’s 25th anniversary.

The letters—along with a series of NYC yellow cabs painted by Klughaus artists—were also featured in the international ad campaign accompanying the S/S14 collection. Shot by photographer Mikael Jansson in the heart of Times Square, the campaign featured Jourdan Dunn, Cara Delevinge, Eliza Cummings, pro skater, Dylan Rieder, and rapper A$AP Rocky posing in (and atop!) the Klughaus cabs.
