DOMINIC CORRY
Dominic Corry emerged from Londons underground graffiti scene in the
early millennium and moved to the United States to pursue his passion
for fine art in 2008. Born into an artistic family (his mother is an
illustrator and his sister a fine artist), Corry has been immersed in
art for as long as he can remember. His work is heavily inspired by
classic advertising and figurative painting.
Growing up in the UK, Corrys fine art work often intersected with
graffiti and street art. In addition to working as a graphic designer
for London television production company Endemol UK, Corry spent his free
time brightening rundown areas by adding color to the shutters of
abandoned stores and homes.
In 2010 year, Corry moved to Los Angeles to design shirts and
skateboards for the clothing company DTA / Rogue Status. Corry
currently lives in Brooklyn, where he works as a freelance
artist and graphic designer for a variety of companies and galleries,
including his work as an aerosol artist for Klughaus.
Corrys work has been exhibited at Saatchi & Saatchi (London) and
Klughaus Gallery (NYC).
