Klughaus x ATL Freight at Wildwood Revival Music Festival
Born on the streets of urban landscapes, it wasn’t until Graffiti Art transitioned to subway trains that it began to thrive. The gigantic rolling canvases brought artwork to life and showcased colorful pieces by some of the city’s most talented youth. Before long, smaller cities and rural communities took note and as the concept of graffiti art spread across the country, freight trains were front and center as a contributing force. The trains were an evolution of the original subway canvas. The concept of artists displaying work “All City” elevated to “All Country.”
The freight train movement became a subculture & a nation wide network of graffiti artists with a passion for the railroad system was born. To celebrate this movement we partnered with Atlanta Freight LLC and Wildwood Revival Music Festival. Our mission is to showcase iconic freight train artists on the roadways to and from the country’s busiest transportation hub. Artists Awe2 and Wasp were given access to 53’ semi trailers to paint large scale works that will be exposed to new audiences as part of an effort to spread the artform through a non-traditional avenue.
