Harbor Picture Company – New York Office Mural
For it’s new, state-of-the-art SOHO, NY production studio, Harbor Picture Company looked to Klughaus to curate an installation in their new studio’s main entry hub. The goal was to install a painting that was dynamic, edgy and felt natural in the NYC space. The artwork direction was to encourage self-expression, creativity and inspire others around them to do the same. With this in mind, there was no better artist to collaborate with than Bisco Smith.
Bisco’s multi layered composition, rich with texture and full of energy, captured the spirit of the culture at Harbor. The painting features the words “Take Risks and Break Boundaries”, an excerpt pulled from thoughts during his meeting with the team at Harbor:
At harbor, where creativity flows in and is kept safe with the freedom to take risks, explore ideas, push, and accomplish. Where people feel the work is meaningful and the boundaries can being broken. Where curiosity and spirit meet challenges through creative collaboration. We are built by and of the people, we are makers, we are open, we are bearers or the new standard, held together by a creative spirit. Where moving pictures are our passion, pushing limits until the alchemy happens.
